Crazy Girls

Imagine this:
It's a Saturday night and at nine o'clock at night everything is just beginning. You are walking down the street in a pool of trash and cigarette butts of Downtown L.A. and within moments you are on a red carpet with people asking to take your picture. Flash, you pose and strike. In that moment your night just went from zero to sixty.

You enter in the white walled room. Lights casts pink, red and blue hues across the floor, walls and images. Beautiful women greet you and for once in your life you feel you have finally reached Nirvana. Maybe it's not really the women, the scene, or the music, but the open bar that changes your state of being. Whatever it is, you have feeling that tonight is going to be a good night.

The atmosphere over flows with class, laughter and music that gets you on your feet to the dance floor. Your body sways to the beat of Gunnie Sanotchra. Everything seems perfect and everything seems right. While the DJ keeps the motion alive and Gunnie makes the rounds. The mood calms down and you find a seat outside.

You take in the scene around you. People are smoking, drinking and SiTv following their Model Latina girls around. The air is cool, but it feels good from the all the dancing and whether you like to admit it or not, the vodka and monster is probably some of the cause. People come in and out of conversation with you. You laugh and meet new friends, but before you know it the night is slowly coming to an end.

If you could feel, almost taste all of this then you have essentially experienced the Girl Crazy Album Release Party by Gunnie Sanotchra hosted by WE ARE. It was truly a night to remember, and a great success. Keep a look out for anymore events WE ARE will be hosting because wouldn't you rather be there than experience through the world wide web?

More from Keni St. Lewis

You know the music is good when you forget that you have job to do and you get lost in the jazz grooves and melodies. Thank you, Keni St. Lewis, for your warm tones and open heart.

"That was the best one guys, but let's take one more"

A music video is an average about three minutes and thirty seconds. Within that time frame a flash of artistry, musicians, and actors collaborate into a melodic story line. Who would guess that those three minutes and thirty seconds actually require hours upon hours of preparation and second takes. Even though I grew up watching "Making the Video" on MTV, I now have a greater respect for all things that go on behind the scenes of on a film.

Here are some of my best from behind the scene stills from the Glory for the People's music video.

Glory for the People Music video

Last weekend we had the privilege of shooting some stills for the music video for Glory for the People. It was a lot of fun to watch all the behind the scenes action, and to watch Mario as he styled the girls, Emerald, Brittney & Kimmy! Thanks to We Are for inviting us to be a part of the fun.
