When Kristin told us she wanted to do a styled shoot reminiscent of the 40s and 50s, we knew it was going to be cute! Not only does Kristin have great fashion sense, she is proud mama of cute Baby E who you may remember from our newborn session earlier this year.

Lindsay did their session in Palos Verdes which was the perfect backdrop for this adorable family of 3. Love you guys!

Lindsay's Holiday Wish List with the One I Love:

So I am really into the next coming holidays. Not the creepy-run-up-your-electricity-bill into, but I like the warm fuzzy feelings that holidays can bring, but only if you do them right and with the ones you love. So here I have comprised a list of all the things I want do from now till about the end of December to get me in the mood sort-to-speak.

1. Carve a pumpkin
2. Go to Disneyland to see the decorations for both fall and winter (would like to also see the World of Color and the Snow).
3. Go Christmas shopping and before a stop at Starbucks to purchase a holiday drink in the holiday cups.
4. Go to the Grove/Farmer's Marker for an evening out to dinner and to also see the decorations for Christmas and the huge tree.
5. Go to Newport Beach to see Christmas lights.
6. Eat pop corn, drink hot chocolate and watch our favorite Christmas movies.
7. Go Christmas Caroling.
8. Build a gingerbread house.
9. Go ice skating outdoors in either down town L.A. or Santa Monica.
10. Have a Snow day.

:) Just thinking about this list makes me feel good. Needless to say, I have finally given up on my tan and I am excited for peacoats, pumpkin spice lattes, Christmas songs and New Year's kisses.

Sneak Peek: Gromis Family Portraits

We'll cut our bodies free from the tethers of this scene, start a brand new colony.

This is our dad.

He plays the banjo. I think that's pretty impressive. But even more impressive than that, he builds banjos. Dad has always been making and breaking things with his hands for as long as I can remember. A true carpenter at heart. He makes beautiful banjos, intricate with perfectly cut abalony shell and carefully sanded designs. I'm not a banjo expert, but I've heard one say that they sound pretty good too.

When I think about our dream, this tiny hatchling of wishing and hoping, I think of my parents. I realize that it's because of them that we've set our feet to dream chasing. How many banjos has my dad made, scrapped and remade? A few at least. But there he sits, playing this beautiful piece of legacy made with hard work, determination and self taught skill.

Thanks to our parents for making us learn the hard way. For not giving us a hand out. For making us earn our allowance. For showing us that you can be good at almost anything if you just try and not letting a failure be the end of the road. Oh, and you have to have the right tools. Right dad? How about a little investment in your daughter's futures? Just kidding...
